womens class
As we were reading in class last night i found that it was very intresting that womes and class is depentent upon their husbands income it is not dependent on whomever makes the most money. i found this very intresting but true.I remember looking back to when i was growing up and listening to adult conversations and such saying "oh well so and so husband dose this. even today i think that we still do it even us women i know that i do whithout even thinking about it. if someone has a fair amount of money and you can tell and you are talking to someone about it you say oh well there dads and engineer or a lawyer or doctor.

I had a hard time reading through that section because what happens if the husband doesn't do anything or works for very little money and the wife makes more money? I would be very upset with being stuck in a lower class than my job allowed me to be. As we talked through it in class and some people stated that more and more couples were being classed as the one with the better money and the higher paying job. I agree this is important because the woman may feel better because she is the reason they are a part of that class. I agree with your blog and think that we all refer to the father's occupation, but I think if the woman has the better occupation we should give credit where it is to be.
